“Cooking is a creative impulse, a way to incite my senses, a perfect moment to share love without words”.

Jorge is a professional in the fields of communications and law who moved to Boston in the pursuit of new endeavors. Since graduating from college, he worked hard as a reporter and an attorney, two demanding and intense professional environments. When he got home every day from work, he often wondered around looking for a way to unwind and release the stress. That is how his passion for cooking begun.  Sporadic visits to the supermarket slowly started to become frequent and the boom of cooking TV shows was a new muse in his creative process.

Since that time, every afternoon became exciting as Jorge crafted new dishes on his kitchen.  However, with time, the mere act of cooking was not enough, thus he decided to cook for friends and family.  The event became so often that, at some point, the amusement was celebrated two or three times a month.

For Jorge, the idea of creating a food blog was something he does not always wanted to do. The need of creating a space to write and the insistence of his closest ones made him decide to start a food blog.  The title “You eat, You smile” was born as a result of how cooking became part of Jorge’s happiness and relaxation after the stress of his profession.  Now, “You eat, You smile” is a way to share the process of cooking (or eating) and how it can make you feel better in any possible way.
